Breakfast at Tiffany’s (Paramount, 1961)
Synopsis: This film stars Audrey Hepburn as socialite Holly Golightly who, encouraged by her neighbour Paul Varjak (George Peppard), sets off on a journey of self-discovery. It’s only when both Holly and Paul rid themselves of their false visages that they begin to make the transformations necessary to spark an appreciation for themselves and one another.
Try these ideas:
Wedding theme: Think classic featuring Tiffany blue and white ribbons.
Yummy stuff: Whether you’re serving cupcakes or a three-tier cake, have your cake designer use Tiffany blue for the icing and top it off with a white iced ribbon.
Invites: For a classic yet sophisticated look, choose a Tiffany blue envelope and use a script-y looking font on all your stationery.
Favourite things: Giving away edible treats? Place them in a mini blue box and tie with a white ribbon.
Food for thought: Get creative and place delicious Tiffany-inspired cupcakes, cookies and petits fours on your dessert table. Take it a step further and ensure that all cocktails being served are either blue or white.
Centre Stage: Keep things simple and chic with a medium-size Tiffany’s box filled with goodies that your guests can take home.
