About the Couple:
Bride: Tovah Altman
Groom: Joshua Carr
Occupations: Tovah is a full-time student at the University of British Columbia and she also teaches yoga. Joshua is an entrepreneur and restaurant owner.
How they met: A mutual friend introduced them.
Favourite date: Joshua surprised Tovah by taking her to a John Fogerty concert. She had no idea who was playing until the show started.
First thing that attracted her to him: “His fun-loving, easygoing attitude towards life.”
First thing that attracted him to her: “Her smile and sense of humour.”
Engagement story: Tovah was in Toronto, visiting her terminally ill father. Sadly, he passed away before he could see Joshua propose. Tovah’s family convinced him to go ahead with the proposal as planned. Tovah says, “Josh was able to turn a very dark experience in my life into the happiest. We immediately decided to get married on Father’s Day as a tribute to my father.”
Words they live by: “Live everyday to the fullest.”
