About the Couple
Bride: Julia Rice
Groom: Steven Leong
How they met: The couple met in Grade 9 band class.
Engagement story: “We were high school sweethearts but spent our years in university on different continents—I in Montreal and then in Toronto, and Steven in London, England,” explains Julia. “One of our favourite spots in Toronto over the years has been a little park bench in Kew Gardens in the Beaches. We would sit together and watch the families and their dogs enjoy the park, and then on a sunny spring Saturday, Steven proposed on that very bench,” Julia recalls with a smile.
