About the Couple
Bride: Andrea Chrysanthou
Groom: Kevin Charles
How they met: “Friends introduced us knowing that we were both fitness fanatics,” shares Andrea.
Engagement story: “Kevin wanted us to go on a proper ‘date’ so we dressed up and he asked me where I would like to go. I was annoyed because I thought he already had the evening planned but I suggested Big Daddy’s Crab Shack & Oyster Bar, which was the location of our first date,” explains Andrea. “Kevin agreed but little did I know that he had already made reservations for us there—he even asked for the same table we sat at on our previous date. We had dinner and when it came time for dessert we ordered the Mississippi Mud Pie—when the pie came out it had a chocolate dollop on top that read ‘koukla’ which is doll in Greek and what Kevin calls me,” continues Andrea. “When I tried to put my fork into the chocolate dollop it wouldn’t move. Kevin then got out of his seat and got down on one knee and I knew what was going on. Kevin had actually gone to Godiva Chocolatier and had the ring box shrink-wrapped and dipped in chocolate so it would look like part of the dessert. He had already asked my parents and children for approval and I was the only one who was out of the loop.”
