About the Couple

Groom: Piero Brigneti
How they met: The couple met through a mutual friend while both were in separate relationships. “Five years later we were both suddenly single so we started hanging out as friends and quickly realized we were meant for each other,” shares the couple.
Engagement story: “We went on a long weekend trip to New York City and I was pretty sure there was going to be a proposal during that trip but I just didn’t know when. We had just checked into our hotel and decided to celebrate our arrival with some wine in our room before heading out. Piero pulled out a bottle of wine and said I have something for you while handing me the wine bottle. As I went to find glasses I heard him say that he had something else for me so I thought he was going to hand me a bottle opener. Instead Piero handed me a little black box with a ring in it but I don’t remember him asking ‘Will you marry me?’ and I don’t even remember saying ‘Yes!’” gushes Marion. “After some happy tears and phone calls to family we went out for Mexican food in Times Square to celebrate our engagement. The next few days were spent enjoying the museums, parks and restaurants and calling each other fiancé(e).”
