Ever After

Cheryl Hickey & Kevin Foley, October 19, 2008, Toronto. By Roseanne Dela Rosa

About the Couple
Bride: Cheryl Hickey
Groom: Kevin Foley
Occupations: Cheryl is a host for ET Canada. Kevin is a senior baseball producer/documentary producer at Rogers Sportsnet.
How they met: They were set-up on a blind date by their friend Gillian Parker.
Fave date: For Cheryl it was a seven-day date in Mexico. For Kevin it was golfing in the rain. Cheryl made a par and danced all the way to the next hole.
What attracted her to him: It was his witty sense of humour, and then it was his smile.
What attracted him to her: It was how genuine and sweet she is.
Engagement story: Kevin proposed to Cheryl at the steps of Seven West in Toronto—the same place where they had first met. Cheryl had no idea it was coming but the ring was burning a hole in Kevin’s pocket all night.
Words they live by: To always appreciate life’s little moments and to put each other first.

Fave wedding gift: “The unconditional love and support from our friends and family.”

What made her day: “Kevin—the look and huge smile on his face; also, our wedding party, friends and family. The love in the room was so overwhelming.  Lastly, my first dance as a Foley was one I will never forget.”
