When in Londontown, our suggestion for the hottest honeymoon is to stay in the toniest part of the city. By making Green Park or Hyde Park Corner your home base, all the stylish sights and shopping delights are at your doorstep. Here’s our hit list of where to stay, shop, eat and play.
STAY
• The May Fair (themayfairhotel.co.uk). Opened in 1927, this spot is a favourite with British celebrities, media and film types, and the official hotel of London Fashion Week. “Paparazzi is a daily occurrence,” says guest relations manager Leona Ostra-Akass. Room highlights include sexy snakeskin-stamped leather headboards, a TV in the roomy double shower and a Do Not Disturb button within easy reach of the bed. Honeymooners are encouraged to opt for the all-white Platinum Junior Suite, enjoy a pit stop at the red-hot Amba Bar & Grill, and indulge in the Treat for Two couple’s massage at the spa, which finishes up with champagne and strawberries.
