About the Couple
Bride: Tara Spencer-Nairn
Groom: Josh Glover
How they met: At the Canadian Comedy Awards in London, Ontario.
Fave dates: Tara and Josh make sure they have date night at least once a week. They love going to dinner and sharing food in a nice little corner.
What attracted her to him: “His sense of humour. He has a clever sense of humour and he always gets my humour.”
What attracted him to her: “Tara’s stellar beauty!”
Engagement story: It happened before the holidays when Tara was working with Toy Mountain Charity. Josh asked Tara to busy herself for a couple of hours and try to come home later in the afternoon. When Tara came home, she decided to lay low and see if they would order in sushi, but Josh persuaded her to go out for dinner. As they were waiting for a cab to pick them up, Tara noticed that Josh had a town car prepared to pick them up, so she thought he was going to propose. As soon as dessert came around, Tara really thought that Josh was going to propose in the restaurant, but Josh had other plans. He asked Tara if she wanted to head home for some wine, at which point Tara thought it wasn’t going to happen. As soon as they came home, Tara was greeted to a room filled with candles, flowers, a bottle of champagne and two gifts (which Josh’s sister had prepared while they were out having dinner). The first gift Tara opened was filled with lingerie and the second gift was a pair of earrings by Linda Penwarden (one of Tara’s fave Canadian designers). Josh asked, “Do you like them?” Tara responded with a yes to which Josh replied, “Good, because she also made you this,” which turned out to be an engagement ring.
