How they met: “We met at a LeBron James TIFF Party at Brassaii in September 2008,” the couple share.
Engagement story: “Vince booked a weekend getaway to Mont Tremblant at a friend’s gorgeous chalet on the lake,” remembers Deidre. “On the second day into our romantic getaway Vince told me he was going to cook a candlelight dinner for us. After a beautiful dinner Vince took me upstairs to one of the bedrooms with a glass of wine while he went back downstairs to make dessert. After setting up the iPod to play our favourite love songs and lighting a row of candles down the stairs with a path leading to a box-shaped area in front of a lit fireplace (Vince secretly packed the wine, the 64 candles and the diamond ring in his luggage!), he called me to tell me that dessert was ready and to come on down,” she says. “I opened the door and all I could see was the path lit with candles and him in the middle of the boxed area in front of the fireplace waiting for me. I came down the stairs and made my way to him through the candlelit path and as soon as I got to the boxed area he went down on one knee!” she exclaims. “It was a beautiful and very romantic evening.”
