How they met: Sonia and Raoul met through friends on an online social networking site.
First thing that attracted her to him: “His smile.”
First thing that attracted him to her: “Everything.”
Engagement story: Around their first anniversary Raoul planned a Canada Day surprise for Sonia. They had a picnic and watched fireworks, but Sonia suspected something was up. As the fireworks were ending, Raoul passed the camera to another couple and asked them to take a picture of him with Sonia. “He told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to marry him—of course I accepted,” she recalls.
