How they met: At Cactus Club: Pam was a server and Mark was a manager. “We were friends for a while, and then we started dating secretly because he was a manager. When we did let our co-workers know they weren’t surprised because of the way we always looked at each other,” says Pam.
Fave date: “One of our non-dates when we were just friends. We went out for lunch, and it just so happened to be Valentine’s Day. We spent 20 hours together because we ended up parking at a beach and talking late into the night.”
What attracted her to him: His honesty, intelligence and sense of humour.
What attracted him to her: Her deep belly laugh.
Engagement story: Mark took Pam away for the weekend and proposed after they had been treated to a couples’ massage. “I literally swooned and my legs felt wobbly. I don’t know if it was from the proposal or the massage!”
Words they live by: Happiness in a relationship comes from truly enjoying each other’s company. Be free to laugh at each other and with each other.
