About the Couple
Bride: Brienna Kroetsch
Groom: Allen Schiedel
How they met: Although Brienna and Allen lived only 20 minutes apart back in Ontario; they met while backpacking through Europe on separate travels towards Cologne, Germany for World Youth Day. They fatefully crossed paths somewhere in Belgium and had their first date in a restaurant in Paris.
Engagement story: “It was a good thing Allen was persistent because he had a few ideas that I managed to ruin. His first plan was to take me on a romantic picnic, but I got called into work because a horse that I had been working with was very sick. She ended up kicking me in the kidney, and I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital. He decided not to propose to me while I was on painkillers. A week went by, and I got a call to pick up the horse that I was buying that weekend. Allen tried to come with me, but I told him it wouldn’t be a good idea. Little did I know he was planning on buying the horse and proposing at the same time (as a result of me always joking that I’d rather he buy me a horse than a ring as a symbol of his affection). The next weekend, he came out to see my new horse with me. It was pouring rain for the entire morning, but he suggested we go on a walk. Just as we started on the path, the wind let up and the rain stopped. As we walked beneath the trees, we found some fallen apples and we decided to bring them back for the horses. As Allen was stooped down on one knee, he turned to me and asked the question. I was stunned and was not expecting it at all. I thought he was joking until I saw him reach into his pocket for the ring. Of course my answer was ‘Yes!’”

where is this venue?

It's located in Kitchener at the end of a very industrial road. I took a look at the outside a couple months back...wasnt that impressive looking but then again all the flowers and gardens weren't blooming at the time either. All other pics I have seen of this place have been beautiful!
The only part that worries me a little is the location and being surrounded by factories.
I've tried requesting information on this venue to which Ive gotten no response.
