The Wedding Day:
Wedding date: July 18, 2009
Guests: 125
His best moment: When the sun came out and the whole sky lit up as Jennifer and her father walked down the aisle.
Her best moment: “Seeing family and friends and marrying the man I love. You could say the entire wedding was my favourite moment.”
What they would have done differently: The couple wishes they had had the father/daughter and mother/son dances a bit earlier in the evening.
Advice to other couples: “Give yourselves lots of time to plan, and don’t stress over things you can’t control, like the weather.”
Wedding song: "She’s Everything" by Brad Paisley. “We always sing this song and change the words to suit us, so we thought it was a perfect choice.”
Most unexpected moment: Jennifer realized 30 minutes before the ceremony that she’d left her garter back in Alberta. She found one at the last minute, thanks to their florist.
Favourite wedding detail: “The cake. I just loved how well it turned out, and it tasted great, too.”
What made her day: “Everything coming together so beautifully, and finally marrying Jason after eight years.”
What made his day: “Marrying Jennifer! And being able to wear a kilt.”
The day in three words: Memorable, magical, loving.
Honeymoon: The couple are still deciding where they want to go, and are looking forward to a trip together.
