About the Couple
Bride: Trish Egan
Groom: Ian Wagner
How they met: “We met while on separate vacations in Hawaii,” Trish explains. “We spent less than 48 hours together and knew then that we’d be together forever.”
Engagement story: “Ian had planned to propose at the top of Lake Louise ski resort, which is where we spend most of our days in the winter skiing and snowboarding,” Trish shares. “Three days before his planned proposal I fell and broke my wrist and was unable to ski for the rest of the season. Ian still proposed on December 20, 2008 during a romantic evening at home that he planned. He poured my favourite red wine, had me relax on the couch and told me to close my eyes. He then wrote ‘Will you marry me?’ on my cast and was down on one knee. I kept the cast to always remember that special day!”
