About the couple
Bride: Nicole Hotzon
Groom: Nathan Holley
How they met: While out on the town Nathan spotted Nicole and her friend (who was dressed in an eye-catching outfit) dancing on the dance floor. After immortalizing the moment with a photo, Nathan was called out by Nicole who had witnessed him sneaking a pic. He somehow managed to talk his way out of it—and get her phone number in the process!
Engagement story: “It was Saturday, October 2nd and Nicole had just come back from a store opening in Edmonton,” remembers Nathan. “I asked her if she wanted to go check out the rock island at Wycliff Park in West Vancouver, where we spent our 1st anniversary together. While relaxing on the rock, looking out into the sunset, I secretly pulled out the ring I had been concealing and asked Nicole to marry me!” he says with a smile. “After a few tears Nicole said yes! It worked out that we got married exactly one year from the day I proposed!”
