About the Couple
Bride: Aphrodite Dracopoulos
Groom: Nick Stavropoulos
Occupations: Aphrodite is a PhD Student and Nick works for a Structural Steel Corporation.
How they met: They both reached for the same coffee at a local coffee shop. She insisted he was trying to take her coffee, a joke was made, and the rest is history.
Fave date: He showed up with beautiful flowers and she answered the door with a bottle of merlot. They went to Remy’s in Yorkville for dinner but were so occupied getting to know each other that they forgot to eat. It was as if they had known each other forever.
What attracted him to her: Her smile.
What attracted her to him: His beautiful brown eyes and his nice, straight teeth.
Engagement story: Nick proposed in true gentleman fashion, asking her parents first. The next day, he took her to Toula’s, on top of the Westin Canal Harbour Hotel, overlooking all of Toronto. The entire staff knew that he was going to propose and had everything prepared extravagantly. He then bent down on one knee and told her how much he loved her. Ten minutes later, with tears streaming down her face, she had a beautiful ring on her finger and they both knew this would be one of the best days of their lives.
