Andreas' work makes me cry. It's so emotional and serious. I also love the work of Storey. Same sort of feel. Photographs of moments of "importance" between the subjects. Very impressive!!!!!

While I think there are quite a few good photographers on this list, I find it a coincidence that almost all of them have submitted work to be published or advertised with weddingbells.ca

There is so much talent out there that make these lists silly. I'm still not sure if you're listing the 25 best photography "WEBSITES" or "photographers". Regardless, the list only captures a small sample of the Canadian talent pool.

There's no question my photographer should be on the list. I'm a little biased, but a photographer that is fully booked for 2010 and into mid 2011 (and he's not cheap. he starts at $6500 and does not advertise) tells me it's more than an inspiring website that makes a good photographer. His work is truly inspiring, not only to other photographers but to the people he photographs.

True. Lists can be "silly". But, this is after all the "Editors" selection of what she/they find inspiring. You Veronica, may have your own list ..and that is what makes everything right. They have a list that they like, it's their site and publication and they have the right to post what they want.
For the record, not all of the listed people here advertise on Weddingbells. There are many many many many photographers that are amazing. This is not the be all and end all of lists, simply one persons opinion.

Glad to see our photogs, Chad & Erin Fuller make the list. They are truly a class act, and produce some of the most amazing, creative and inspired images in the industry. You can't go wrong with Fuller Edge!! Congrats Chad & Erin.

Oh my some great work in there but disappointed you didn't choose our photographer from 2008. Our wedding photos are unlike any I have seen among friends. Mark Ridout Photography was also recently published in Rangefinder Magazine and FHOX magazine out of Brasil. We continue to enjoy his blog and thanks for sharing so many other great photographers. Beauty and "best" are in the eye of the beholder...

We had the pleasure to work with an amazing photographer from Toronto, they did our Engagement and Wedding photos, great people to work with, very professional but also knew how to make us feel so comfortable! I Definitely would recommend them check them out as well.

@ Stacey and Linda, I agree, Mark Ridout is amazing! He did our friend's wedding in Lindsay, Ontario and we booked him for our wedding in July. We had engagement photos done and they were great! I actually clicked on this story to see if he was listed.

Thanks for this list! I have to say though that I am a bit disappointed and honestly SURPRISED that my favourite photographer Anastasia Chomlack of Anastasia Photography is not on the list! She is the one that everyone I know is using in Whistler and Vancouver. Her pictures are truly an art form. Anastasia and her husband Chad work together and the results made my family feel not only comfortable, but beautiful and excited everytime we see the pictures. Seriously, she is amazing! She did our engagement photos AND our wedding photos, the price was right and the result was incredible. The next time you make a list of the "Top 25 photographers in Canada" I would highly recommend you look at Anastasia Photography. It would be foolish not to!

I love Alan Maudie and would have loved to book him for my wedding.
Thankfully, I was referred to another great Rocky Mtn. based photographer, Tracy Connery Photography, and we loved our engagement photos! We're so looking forward to seeing how she captures our July wedding up at Panorama!

I wanted to forward my photographers name to all of you. He was amazing! He got a lot of shots that were very candid,I did not even realize he was taking some of them until I saw them. All of our family and friends were amazed with his work!!! More importantly he treated us like a queen and king, he went well beyond anything I have ever heard of in a photographer. He sent us a little gift that was so thoughtful and unique. I highly recommend www.brentpilgrim.ca Read his blog too, I am addicted to it!

We just got our wedding photos back and I can't stop gushing over them, I really think my photographers did such a wonderful job that I want to refer them to everyone for all their hard work!!! We initially booked someone else for our photographer, he did out engagement shoot and although the pictures turned out ok (just ok!!) my husband and I just felt awkward and it was definitely not worth it, so we decided to lose our deposit, take the plunge and book our new photographers a month and a half before the wedding, we got LUCKY and they were available, they were amazing in every way, I can't stop looking at the pictures. I have been looking for some great photographers in my search also and received some awesome referrals. In Ottawa, m photography (www.m-phototgraphy.ca) who does some of the most elegant boudoir I have ever seen as a gift and her work is truly poetic and artistic and she captures a genuine moment. Also in Ottawa, Andrew Geddes (andrew geddes.com) has a gift for capturing some lovely moments and has a great portfolio as well. In Toronto, Rebecca Wood (rebeccawoodphotography.com) lovely airy and angelic images...Forbes photography in Kingston is wonderful and has a real gift in capturing same sex couples...and beautiful lighting. All are guaranteed best bets with pricing from $3000-5000 range for full day and they all keep great blogs that are updated regularly...

A friend of mine, Jen van der Vecht, is also a great photographer. She specialized in breathtaking B&W portraits of children for many years and recently began taking wedding commissions. With so many wedding photographers in Toronto I spent a lot of time searching for my recent wedding and ended ip going with Sam Obeid for his awesome photojournalist style. My wedding is currently the most recent wedding on his blog which you can see here, http://samobeid.com I love them!

We had Will Pursell photograph our wedding. His photos are unreal! He photographed it in a completely different way then we have ever seen any other wedding photographer take photos. We got married last October in Toronto. Our venue was The Gladstone Hotel and we used a Toronto photographer named Juan Rojo. He was simply amazing. We couldn't be happier with the results. Professional from start to finish with amazing rates. We would definitely recommend him. Our photos were featured on a blog post from October of 2010 here

Got married in Montreal last August, worked with Nick at Nika Foto, We had a very small budget for our wedding pictures, (less than $1000). My friend just got married and raved about this photographer from Victoria B.C. Jordana Dickson. She takes beautiful photos, I was really really impressed. Lovely personality too, very genuine and easy to work with, they loved her and so did the guests! Someone to keep in mind if you are on the island (I think she travels all over the island) or in Vancouver.
