Who it’s for: Absolute Photography definitely appeals to all you candid photo lovers. These pros will capture all your laughs, tears and hugs!
Our favourite feature: All of Absolute Photography’s jaw-dropping candid moments, especially the “couples only” shots, really caught our eye. We love the details, the scenes and the emotions that each and every image conveys.

2. Site: alanmaudieweddings.com
Who it’s for: Those interested in contemporary shots will love Alan Maudie’s style. Oh, and if you happen to be tying the knot in the Rockies, Maudie is definitely the man for the job. He has years of experience shooting an array of beautiful weddings in this stunning location.
Our favourite feature: The fun engagement photos. Most of Maudie’s engagement photos tend to steer towards the quirky side, thereby showcasing each couple’s personality—no cookie-cutter posed shots here.

Who it’s for: Elegant, modern brides will love the contemporary yet timeless photos captured by any of the three married couples from this talented company.
Our favourite feature: We love, love, love their candid shots. All the tender moments and the joyous memories that they’ve captured (especially amongst the cute little kids) are so genuine and unique.

Who it’s for: Ladies looking for traditional, romantic and beautiful photos.
Our favourite feature: Andreas Avdoulos is a master at capturing timeless wedding images. We were captivated by every single one of his black and white shots. For more inspiration, we also recommend his blog, which is filled with enchanting weddings.

Who it’s for: East coast brides looking for fresh, fun and romantic wedding-day images and portraits.
Our favourite feature: All the rainy photos. For some, the damp maritime weather could be a bride’s worst nightmare, but we applaud this photographer’s ability to make any grey day look magical.

Who it’s for: Brides-to-be seeking a bright and fresh take on their happy day are going to love Blue Olive Photography.
Our favourite feature: Their site boasts tons of inspiring and über-dreamy wedding-day photos. Oh, and we love that their blog (and the whole website) is super-easy to navigate.

Who it’s for: Those exchanging vows abroad can take comfort in knowing that their wedding-day images will turn out beautifully with help from these pros whose specialty is destination weddings.
Our favourite feature: Their British Columbia weddings. Although we touted them as destination wedding photographers, these pros hail from the gorgeous city of Vancouver and really know the best locations for wedding-day photography.

8. Site: claudiahungweddings.com
Who it’s for: As stated on Claudia Hung’s website, her work is definitely for “people in love.” Expect clean, modern and romantic photos for both your engagement and big day when you book with Hung.
Our favourite feature: Although she is a talented wedding photographer, Hung’s editorial section is packed with images that are so jaw-dropping they will definitely serve as inspiration for your own special day.

Who it’s for: Bright and happy couples looking for romantic, yet editorial-worthy, wedding-day images.
Our favourite feature: Wedding images aside, we enjoyed perusing Erin Gilmore Photography’s headshot and commercial sections (packed with celebrities!). Tip: the headshot images could be a different yet pretty alternative to traditional engagement photos.

Who it’s for: Expect edgy and artistic wedding-day images from the experts at Fuller Edge—perfect for couples looking for that extra “oomph” in their photos.
Our favourite feature: The international wedding section is a delight to peruse and showcases some of their best wedding work yet.

Who it’s for: With a background in visual arts, photography, painting and digital art media, a blend of all worlds is clearly visible in Ellen Ho’s photos and her style is perfect for all romantics at heart.
Our favourite feature: Aside from the catchy music that’s played with each slide (kudos for choosing the right songs!), we can’t get enough of her amazing blog, which follows all of her most recent shoots.

Who it’s for: If you’re seeking photographers who you’ll easily jive with, Camille and Chadwick Bensler, owners of Jonetsu Photography, are the friendliest of the bunch. Not to mention, they take some of the most elegant and sophisticated images with a laid-back and carefree attitude.
Our favourite feature: Their signature gallery, which boasts an array of beautiful wedding photos. Always using a variety of mediums, equipment and techniques, these pros make every wedding they shoot unlike any other.

Who it’s for: Looking for something different from the “traditional” wedding photos? Well, when it comes to this husband and wife team, you can expect to receive dramatic, over-the-top and glamorous wedding photos. 
Our favourite feature: Their action shots—in one word—are spectacular. They’ve nailed down the art of directing and capturing brides and their bridal parties, especially when in mid-air, to a T.

Who it’s for: If you’re looking for elegant and eye-catching images—especially in black and white—you’ll love what Mango Studios has to offer.
Our favourite feature: The engagement portraits. There’s something so modern yet classic about them. And, we’re also huge fans of their picture-perfect coffee-table wedding albums—simply a must-have!

15. Site: mimmoandnaz.com
Who it’s for: Classic brides-to-be looking for emotional and stunning wedding images should highly consider checking out the twosome at Mimmo+Naz.
Our favourite feature: Simply said, their 8 mm cinematography section. We could watch their emotional videos over and over again. There’s something so timeless and classic about this medium.

Who it’s for: If you’re hosting an outdoor ceremony or reception you ought to take a look at Perspectiveye’s portfolio, as these photographers are immensely talented when it comes to shooting outdoor weddings.
Our favourite feature: Details! Details! Details! Yes, we’re all for candid shots, but at the end of the day the small things are just as important, which is evident in many of Perspectiveye’s pictures.

Who it’s for: Fashion-forward brides will enjoy the photojournalistic approach that this company has to offer for all wedding-day photography. Think glossy and editorial images, but with a romantic twist.
Our favourite feature: All of their location shoots. Their eye for scouting superb areas—for engagement shoots and reception pics—and making the most of them is simply phenomenal.

Who it’s for: All you detailed-oriented brides. Red Photo Co. specializes in capturing your flowers, bouquets, and yes, even your shoes on camera so you can relive your entire day to a T.
Our favourite feature: Beautiful details aside we couldn’t get enough of their scenic background shots. Based in Winnipeg, they’ve got a knack for capturing blushing brides and their misters amidst the rustic prairies.

Who it’s for: Artistic folks will appreciate the spectacular work that the duo at this studio produces. So, if you’re artistically inclined or have an appreciation for the fine arts, you’re in for a treat.
Our favourite feature: Their “trash the dress” sessions. We’re not particularly huge fans of dragging a dress through the mud, but Rowell Photo’s images in no way exemplify anything remotely “trashy.” Rather, their “trash the dress” photos are artsy, timeless and stunning.

Who it’s for: Brides looking for a two-in-one deal. Still Motion provides spectacular photography and videography.
Our favourite feature: Hands down, our favourite feature is their video page. It’s like watching romantic, personalized music videos; you could spend hours perusing all of them—we sure did!

Who it’s for: Elegant brides-to-be should consider booking with Storey Wilkins Photography, especially if you’re looking for beautiful, natural shots that really capture your true personalities.
Our favourite feature: The moving pictures section. They’re masters at composing slide shows, and the musical accompaniment that they choose flows seamlessly with the images.

Who it’s for: Brides-to-be looking for a photographer who can capture the candid moments, as well as beautiful scenery (especially if you’re tying the knot at a gorgeous historical/outdoor venue), can expect to get that from Studio Iris Photography. 
Our favourite feature: The online store. Not only do they specialize in wedding-day photography, but they’ve also extended their work by offering a photography gift registry, pretty folded cards and our fave—these memorable montage-style postcards.

Who it’s for: Those of you looking for perfect candid shots will get it from this amazingly talented team of two.
Our favourite feature: Their galleries section, which is conveniently split into six distinct wedding categories: promise, anticipation, declaration, affection, celebration and details. We’re especially drawn to the celebration section, which showcases the most exciting and memorable moments of the whole day.

Who it’s for: Destination brides, travel junkies and fashionistas will automatically fall in love with the amazing work by Bebb Studios.
Our favourite feature: Their blog kicks butt! It has some serious eye candy for those of you looking for exciting and fresh images. Not to mention the weddings they shoot are nothing short of extraordinary—be prepared to be wowed.

Who it’s for: All modern, urban girls will enjoy the creative, fresh and polished wedding images captured by Union Photo.
Our favourite feature: Their engagement sessions—especially from their blog! We enjoy seeing a variety of engagement displays. Whether you’re down-to-earth or super-quirky and fun, Union Photo knows how to translate your personalities into pretty engagement pics.
