For 25 years, I’m thrilled to report Weddingbells has maintained its place at the top of the media list as the go-to for wedding expertise. Considering how fickle the media can be (we should know, it’s the world we live in!), I can assure you this is no easy feat and our enduring status as wedding media darling is something we’re extremely proud of. In 2009 alone, Weddingbells had close to 200 hits of media exposure, and we were featured on radio, television, in newspapers, magazines and online. Just a few of the places you might have seen us: ET Canada; CBC News; Steven and Chris; eTalk; Canada AM; Rich Bride, Poor Bride; Maclean’s; Saturday Night at the Movies; The Globe and Mail; The Toronto Star and The National Post.
Why has the country’s top media continued to knock on our door for the past 25 years? Because from the moment our first issue hit newsstands across Canada in 1985, Weddingbells has prided itself on not just knowing wedding trends, but setting them. We are the authority on all aspects of wedding planning, including: fashion, beauty, planning details, registry trends and honeymoon travel.
Our goal has always been to inspire you about your wedding celebration, delivering ideas, details and dreams. Though we’re just over a quarter of the way through our year-long anniversary celebration, the number of media requests we’ve had since January has been unbelievable with the next few months looking equally buzzy. Weddingbells clearly is not 25 years old, but 25 years young and still just as relevant, fresh-faced and inspiring as we were on day one.
