1. Write a list and stick to it! If you don’t give yourself any parameters, you’ll end up packing the entire closet.
2. Limit the number of shoes you bring. Besides, this gives you an excuse to pick up a new pair (or two!) while you’re away.
3. Ziploc those beauty products! The last thing you need is for your sunscreen to explode all over your fabulous new beachwear.
4. Pack your must-haves on top. When you arrive at that tropical paradise, you don’t want to waste time digging out your bikini!
5. Stash those romantic surprises at the bottom of your suitcase, safe from damage and from his wandering eye.
6. Bring an extra tote for all the honeymoon souvenirs you’ll be grabbing.
7. Check with your airline for any size or weight limitations. You don’t want to have to leave anything behind at the airport.
8. Take a photocopy of all your ID and travel documents for your records. Tuck a copy in your suitcase should anything happen to the originals.
9. Keep some essentials (toothbrush, light change of clothes) in your carry-on. Better safe than sorry if your luggage is delayed.
10. Hubby-test your luggage. If your new Mr. can’t move it, you need to lighten the load.
