Toast to Love

Eight ladies from our forums share their unique and alternative ideas to clinking glasses. By Roseanne Dela Rosa

“We did a Hershey’s Kisses pull! We had a huge bowl full of silver Kisses and gold Kisses. If someone pulled a gold Kiss, we kissed. If they pulled a silver Kiss they had to kiss another guest!”
- FutureMrsGray

“I work for one of the major charities, and we offer a weddings program that allows people to make donations for kisses. Often couples will specify that the bigger the donation, the longer the kiss—i.e. $1 for 1 second, $5 for 5 seconds, etc. It's not for everyone, but if there is a charity that you and your partner are passionate about, this could be a nice option.”
- funkybridewpg

“One thing that a good friend of mine did for her wedding, which I thought was really neat and personal, was to have a trivia game where a question about the bride or groom or the couple was written on a card and if the person(s) guessed the right answer, the couple would have to kiss!”
- zoobaby

“At my friends’ wedding in order to get them to kiss, a guest would have to sing a few lines from a song with the word ‘love’ in it. For example, ‘All You Need is Love’ by The Beatles or something like that. It was so fun and hilarious.”
- mrsmckenzie

“Guests who wanted us to kiss had to come up to the mic and tell a funny/cute story about either of us.”
- AlmostWright

“The first idea was to tell a story about the bride and groom but we thought we might have some shy people on our hands, so we also invited guests to come up and play Rock Paper Scissors against us. In the end only one person played R.P.S. and about 20 people told stories.”
- Jimena

“By far the funniest I have ever seen is when the bride and groom asked the guests to do an interpretive dance of their relationship (the crowd was a very creative bunch). But what works best all depends on the type of crowd you have!”
- p0pc0rn

“We are having a putting green at the front and you have to get a hole in one for us to kiss. If you miss, you have to kiss another guest, and it's our choice as to whom.”

we are making our guests rid around on a tricycle that has been decorated for the night. My sister came up with the idea and we are the type of people that we love to laugh so this way we get to have fun and kiss a lot to because our friends are nuts like us....
