Chances are you will be receiving a great collection of kitchen gadgets during your engagement, and you may be doing some entertaining, too. Bite Me, a new cookbook by sisters Julie Albert and Lisa Gnat, offers great new recipes and a laid-back style to liven up your kitchen adventures. The book, available for $30 from Indigo (indigo.ca) this October, contains over 50 colour photos and 19 fine art images. The sisters are calling the book “a multi-sensory smorgasbord.” The 272 pages contain photography by renowned artists, lists of songs to cook to, and, of course, 175 delicious, foolproof recipes to try out on your new husband (or impress the in-laws). Bite Me is made up of 10 chapters ranging from Spoon Me (steamy soups) to UnDress Me (eye-popping salads) to Fork Me (desserts for a happy ending). The sisters vow that the recipes are user-friendly and satisfying. You and your mister are bound to find some new favourites in this not-so-ordinary cookbook.
