Stylish Stems

Vow to wow guests with a bouquet that looks gorgeous from top to bottom. By Roseanne Dela Rosa

This year, floral designers are stepping up their game by ensuring that their stems look just as beautiful as the blooms on top. From dazzling jewels to silky ribbons, more florists are now using different techniques and materials to update traditional bouquets. This gorgeous arrangement from Roa Floral & Event Designs (roadesigns.com) is wrapped in delicate ribbon and perfectly accented with cream-coloured roses. Tip: if you’re afraid that the details won’t show in photographs, simply ask your florist to leave the lower portion of your stems as is—leaving you more room to grip the bottom of your bouquet. Or, be eco-conscious and use your pretty florals as centrepieces—that way guests can get a better eyeful of the creative stems.
