1. Memory Box
Rather than presenting your photos in a traditional album, try storing them away in chic vintage boxes. Or, if you’re the crafty type, line unused storage boxes with pretty wallpaper for a more personalized way to store your memorabilia.
2. Digital Scrapbook
If you’re not the crafty type (and many of us aren’t), commemorate your big day with an online scrapbook. The latest crafting craze is simple, mess-free and there are no scissors, glue or miniature wedding rings required. Many websites even offer online templates so all you have to do is upload your photos and write your own captions. The best part about cyber scrapbooking? You can easily share all your wedding-day memories with family and friends.
3. Ready-Made
Just because you can’t cut and paste, doesn’t mean you can’t have a Martha-Stewart-worthy album to present your photos. Head to your nearest art store and scan the aisles for a ready-made scrapbook – all you have to do is insert your own photos.
4. Expert Service
If you really want the personal feel and sweet presentation of a custom scrapbook, go to the experts. Places like Urban Scrapyard (urbanscrapyard.com) offer workshops and courses to help you create a custom album – you arrive with your own photos, and they’ll help you bind a book from start to finish. If you’re pinched for time, you can also hire a local scrapbook artist to create your personal album.
5. Scale Down
If you still have your heart set on a DIY scrapbook, then go for it. If the task at hand seems a little daunting, scale down the contents by including five of your best memories instead of 10. The smaller the task, the more likely you’ll be to see your project through from beginning to end.
