We all know planning a wedding can be stressful, but what about planning a destination wedding? That’s a completely different ball game. To help you along the way, we asked Canadian actress Caroline Cave, recently known as Debbie on Saw VI and Angela Wyatt on Cra$h & Burn, to give us insight on how she balances filming and planning her upcoming wedding celebration. Here are her top three tips:
1. Have images ready. As soon as I went into planning mode, I bought a book and started to insert pictures. That way when I went to one of my vendors, like my florist, I was able to show her what I envisioned. If you can’t meet your vendors in person, you could always e-mail them images of what you like or don’t like.
2. Meet your photographers. I met with my photographers in person, instead of over the phone. I wanted to ensure that we had the right chemistry. My fiancé and I wanted someone who was warm but also professional—we were looking for that perfect balance.
3. Ask for help when you need it. As a perfectionist, I like to micromanage everything, but it’s impossible to do everything yourself. Luckily, my fiancé and I have family members with impeccable taste, so it was easy for us to ask for assistance. People want to feel included, so ask for input from people whose taste you admire.
