The Girls
One of the reasons it’s important to choose a flattering dress for your bridesmaids (besides the fact you want them to look good!) is that they’re going to be footing the bill to be part of your special day. Typically, bridesmaids and your maid of honour are responsible for the cost of the dress and accessories. If you would like your girls to wear matching jewellery, consider giving this as a gift. Be mindful of your girls’ budgets, and settle on a style that’s accessible for everyone (no more than $375). Another way to keep your besties smiling? Give them some direction (a colour palette, for instance), and allow them to find dresses that flatter their figures and their bank accounts!
The Little Ones
The parents of your flower girl and ring bearer are expected to pick up the tab for clothing and accoutrements: traditionally, a little white dress for her and a mini-tux for him. However, you will be responsible for supplying the flowers, baskets and ring pillow. If you’d like to show your appreciation, consider contributing to their outfits: a pretty purse or stylish shoes make adorable gifts.
The Guys
When it comes to the guys, you supply the boutonnières, and they take care of the rest—covering the cost of purchasing or renting a tuxedo, whatever the case may be. It is important that the groomsmen all look uniform when it comes to suiting, but you may want to be more lenient with accessories: allowing them to wear their own black shoes will save them money and chances are no one will notice the subtle differences.
