If you love the taste of fizzy drinks, but don't like the cost, the sugar or the waste from buying it in the store, then consider registering for SodaStream (sodastream.ca), an at home soda-maker that let's you make an endless supply of sparkling drinks in seconds. SodaStream features three sleek and stylish machines, including the Penguin that features glass carafes. How the machine works is simple. All you do is add cold water and then press the carbonating button to add your fizz. The amount of fizz you add is up to you—one push for light and five for strong carbonation. If you want to add flavour, you can choose to add one of the 60 flavoured syrups offered by SodaStream, including sugar-free (no aspartame) and traditional flavours (like ginger ale and cola). What's also great is that the machine doesn't use electricity. The compressed gas is what adds the fizz to your drink. We also love that using the machine helps reduce waste, making it an eco-friendly product! Plus each cylinder makes 320 bottles of soda, saving you a lot of money in the long run. Available for purchase online, as well as in stores across Canada, their starter kits start at $169.

One of my coworkers actually bought his machine from www.chironcanada.com and he loves it. he figures that it costs about $0.40/liter and he said the lady he dealt with was very helpful.
