Fit For a Queen
Never mind renting a banquet hall for your wedding. Hold your ceremony in a historical building like a castle.
Trend-setters:

- Eva Longoria and Tony Parker: July 8, 2007. They exchanged “I dos” in a 17th century castle in France in front of family and friends.
Far and Away
Escape to a far-off place to say your vows.
Trend Setters:
- Olivia Newton-John and John Easterling: June 21, 2007. The couple wanted their union to be private, so they had a ceremony on top of a Peruvian mountain—a spot special to the couple.
- Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon: April 30, 2008. With a sunset as their background, the couple tied the knot at Mariah’s estate in the Bahamas.
Homeward Bound
Having your wedding at home has always been a popular trend amongst couples.

- Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi: August 16, 2008. The ceremony was held in the couple’s home and was kept very intimate with only 20 guests in attendance.
Party for Two
A marriage is about two people so why not be the only guests at your wedding?

- Jewel and Ty Murray: August 7, 2008. The couple flew down to the Bahamas and exchanged vows on the beach.
Element of Surprise
One way to make your wedding unforgettable is to invite your family and friends to a party that turns out to be your wedding.
Trend-setters:
- Anne Stringfield and Steve Martin: July 28, 2007. Their 75 guests were told they were attending a party at a friend’s house, but it turned out to be Steve and Anne’s wedding.
- Angela Malloch and Jason Donovan: May 25, 2008: Jason told everyone he was hosting his own 40th birthday bash, but he was really planning his own wedding. It was a surprise for everyone including the bride—Jason proposed only 40 minutes prior to the party.
