When it comes to dressing your mister for your wedding abroad, there are several factors to consider. First, as with your dress, your groom’s big-day outfit should reflect the location and feeling of your ceremony. Second, your guy should be able to express his personality, and above all he should be comfortable in his new gear. In terms of menswear, you can draw a line in the sand (so to speak!) between casual elegance and formal sophistication, depending upon what type of destination wedding you’re planning.
Casual Elegance
This style of dress is best suited to a warm-weather wedding, like a Mexican fiesta for instance. Linen or cotton blend suits in light colours (think shades of khaki and tan) are extremely popular for destination grooms tying the knot in tropical locales. This is an ideal choice because it’s comfortable in warm weather, but still has a pulled-together look befitting the occasion. Many grooms also choose to forego the traditional tie and jacket in favour of a crisp white shirt with an open collar. In terms of accessories, a classic wingtip shoe would simply be out of place on the beach! Instead, look for a dressier version of the flip-flop, such as a chocolate brown leather sandal. A tropical destination also invites the use of bright colours: try pocket squares and boutonnières in shades of orange, blue, or pink (if he dares!).
Formal Sophistication
A shabby-chic suit just wouldn’t feel right amidst the cobblestones and historic architecture of a European destination. So, if you’re saying, “I do” in a more cosmopolitan place, look for classic formalwear pieces for your guy. A grand setting calls for the whole shebang: traditional tux and tails (and top hat, if you so choose). For an updated formal style, try tone-on-tone shirts and ties: white on white, black on black, etc. And if you’re craving a dash of colour, opt for a jaunty vest or bow tie in a shade that complements your wedding flowers and décor. And, as you well know, no outfit is truly complete without the perfect pair of shoes, so finish off your groom’s sophisticated ensemble with some debonair patent leather oxfords or velvet slip-ons.

My fiance and i are getting married in vegas and we are unsure how to go about the tux's for him and his party. Can we rent them here and take to vegas or is it better to rent them there?
