Italian fashion house Missoni, renowned for its sleek fashion and home designs, will also soon be famous for setting a new standard in boutique hotel luxury with the opening of Hotel Missoni Edinburgh next spring. A partnership between the Rezidor Hotel Group and Missoni Creative Director Rosita Missoni, the hotel promises to stay true to Missoni’s iconic style, creating a distinctive blend of fashion, function, form and service. “All of this adds up to a new genre of luxurious, yet accessible hotels,” reports Gordon McKinnon, executive vice-president of brands for Rezidor. Hotel Missoni Edinburgh is located on George IV Street along the famous Royal Mile and will feature a cozy 136 rooms and suites, the brand’s signature Cucina Missoni restaurant, Bar Missoni and a fitness suite. Inside the hotel, Missoni’s signature bold use of colour and striking patterns will bring a cool, contemporary energy to both the public and privates spaces, from the restaurants to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Edinburgh is just the first of many Hotel Missoni properties scheduled to open in the next 10 years (Hotel Missoni Kuwait City will also open next spring).
