The Dress
“I did love my dress! Can you believe I didn’t actually see my dress until a month before? I basically told my designer Thien Le what I was looking for and put all my trust in him. He ended up creating the most beautiful dress that I’ve been privileged to wear.”
The Decor
“I was shocked about the draping in the ceremony. As soon as I saw it, I was like wow! It definitely made the balcony area more intimate, which I know is extremely hard to do. Also, walking into my reception room it felt like I was walking into a different world. They did an amazing job.”
The People
“I’d have to say that walking down the aisle with my dad was pretty heavy and emotional. It was such a great feeling. And, of course, having all our friends and family there at once was a lovely feeling.”
The Photos
“We broke the old tradition, and I ended up seeing Josh before the ceremony to take pictures in Betty’s Pub. Josh and I used to live in that area, and we wanted to capture a bit of the past. It felt really weird walking in, but it also felt familiar because it holds so many memories.”
The First Dance
“We wanted to have fun with it and so our first dance was to Mannequin’s theme song called ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop us Now.’ It came to us when we went to South America, right after we got engaged. We were thinking about all the other songs that meant a lot to us, but none of our favourite songs were really appropriate. After a while, I think it was in Buenos Aires, I started to sing ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop us Now,’ and we had a real good laugh about that being our song, and so it was.
