1. Serve midnight snacks—your guests will be partying up a storm and will definitely need an outlet to satisfy their late-night cravings. It can be as simple as pizza or as posh as a seafood bar.
2. Keep the party going by providing entertainment while your guests enjoy dinner. Entertainers such as salsa dancers or ballroom dancers are guaranteed to put your family and friends in an upbeat mood.
3. Have a photographer take pictures of your guests as they arrive. Not only will they love having their pictures taken while they still feel fresh, these photos will also make great keepsakes for them.
4. Combine your cultures. If you and your mister come from different backgrounds, mix and match your traditions and rituals. This is a great way to honour your heritage, but it’s also a nice treat for guests who may not be familiar with a certain culture.
5. Serve shots—of espresso, that is. Espressos are a hot addition to the dessert course. Most people love a caffeine fix, and this will also act as a pick-me-up when the party begins to wind down.
6. Keep the kids entertained with jugglers, clowns or magicians. This will allow the parents to enjoy themselves, while keeping the little ones out of trouble.
7. Skip the floral centrepieces and opt for a more creative display. Have centrepieces that are inspired by your fave places or hobbies. Or, go completely different and try a chocolate fondue in the middle of each table.
8. Whether you choose a live band or DJ, make sure they play a little something for everyone. Dancing is one of the most fun things for guests to do at a reception, so get them on the dance floor!
9. Involve your guests in the celebrations. Whether they have to participate in games or tell stories about the two of you, your guests will want to be involved. Getting your party people in the mix of things is a great way to make them feel welcome!
10. Give a treat to those who visit the loo. Have an attendant provide makeup touch-ups for women and a spritz of cologne for men.

I have been at a wedding where a little basket of chocolate kisses was by each bathroom sink, or a basket of touch up hair products, like hairspray, bobby pins, facial powder etc... was in the corner of the counter.
