Having been in the bridal beauty biz for 25 years, Laura Geller knows more than a thing or two about wedding makeup. She is celebrated for her breathtaking bridal looks and her amazing line of makeup, which is available at Sephora. When it comes to your wedding look Geller advises you should look like yourself, but better! She recently gave us the lowdown on making the most of your wedding beauty budget. Here are her three wallet-friendly tips.
1. If you can’t indulge in purchasing all-new makeup for your wedding, bring your makeup bag to the cosmetics counter and speak to a pro about creating a look with your existing products. Spend money on the application lesson and save on the products!
2. If you’re splurging on a destination wedding, you may need to revise your beauty budget. Instead of flying your makeup artist to your wedding location, take one makeup lesson in advance and master your own makeup. Practice, practice, practice so you’re a pro by the time the big day arrives.
3. Instead of breaking the bank at the department store on new makeup items for your wedding day, check out the latest products at your local drugstore. Often you can match shades and formulations to department store brands for a fraction of the cost.
