If your wedding is:

Check out the bridal shows. All the major shows are during September, so you may want to grab as much info as you can. Plus, the next bridal shows won’t be around until January.
Pick a date and book the venues—both ceremony and reception location. Oftentimes, venues are booked up to a year in advance, especially if you’re tying the knot during the summertime.

Now that you’ve finished booking the major vendors, you ought to look to your bridal party. Who’s going to help you out and stand up for you on the big day? Once that’s settled, consider going gown shopping. This doesn’t mean you have to purchase one right away, but it’s nice knowing what’s out there and what’s not.
If you haven’t already, look to book your photographer, florist, cake designer, etc.
These vendors book fast, and you don’t want to miss out.

Start narrowing down your guest list and preparing invitations—especially for out-of-town guests. The earlier you do this, the better.
Also, if you’re planning a summer-themed wedding, you might want to check out all the summer sales: purchase wedding decor items now and save them for later.

Time to send out your save-the-dates and confirm with your vendors.
Now is also a good time to book your honeymoon, and open your gift registries. Remember, you still have all those pre-wedding parties—bridal shower, bachelorette party, etc—ahead of you.

Hair and makeup trials are in full effect. Also, look to pamper yourself with a spa treatment as the big day approaches.
Check in with out-of-towners, and see who hasn’t RSVP’d from your guest list.
