Chair Affair

Swap the traditional name place card for a modern chair tag. By Roseanne Dela Rosa

Up the ante at your wedding reception by lettings guests find their seats by sifting through a few chairs. Rather than placing the usual name cards on their plates, simply have your wedding planner (or decor service) tie a stylish card (similar to this cute one from That’s Inviting!) onto your guests’ chairs. You can either turn this project into a DIY—especially if you’re having a smaller wedding—or have your stationery vendor whip up something similar to your invitation set. Although we don’t recommend having personalized chair tags for larger weddings, as it might get hectic for guests to find their own seats, you could always do something similar and have personalized chair tags for the bridal party alone.
