Blown Away

Looking for a laid-back wedding-day look? Try a blowout. By Stephanie Gray

If a fancy updo doesn’t match your wedding-day style, consider styling your hair without the fuss by getting a blowout. Celebrities and models get them to keep their hair in salon-perfect condition, and let’s be honest; your big day is your red-carpet event, so why not follow in the footsteps of the A-list crowd with camera-ready hair?

While blowouts are hardly new, salons across the country are now catering specifically to this service. Ritual 2 (ritual.ca) is one downtown Toronto salon that just expanded its hairstyling services with a Blow & Go bar. The menu features six fabulous styles to choose from including “Pretty at the Premiere,” which will give you the ultimate Hollywood look: soft curls and bounce, while “Big, Bold and Beautiful” will give you extreme volume without sacrificing your smooth locks. If you’re a traditional bride going for a classic updo, consider treating your bridesmaids to a blowout. They’ll look fabulous at half the price of an updo!
