As our good friends at Kate Spade have declared, 2012 is the year of the pattern and though stripes are pretty and preppy, polka dots are more our speed this spring. How To Find The Perfect Invitations

The stationery world is an enormous industry–especially when it comes to weddings. Often times, when you don’t know what you want, it can be overwhelming. So, we went straight to the pros, and asked One Plus One Design for some tips on finding the perfect invitation set. Here’s what they had to say.

1. SHOP AROUND
Before heading into an invitation place, ensure that their style goes hand-in-hand with what you’re looking for.

2. BRING PICTURES
When it comes to stationery, a visual reference of what you like (and don’t like) is one of the best ways to get your message and vision across.

3. GET CREATIVE
Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Be open to new ways of presenting your wedding stationery.

4. PROOFREAD YOUR DRAFT
When you receive your sample copy, be sure to read each sentence carefully. Having to reprint everything will cost you time and money.
