We live for great love stories here at Weddingbells so it’s always a treat to reflect on the most famous love-filled moments of the year.

2011 will always be remembered for one of the most buzzed about marriages in recent history, The Royal Wedding, but we felt it was also important to look back at some of the fabulous engagements that took place. We’re not talking overly-publicized reality-TV-based proposals — for our top five we’ve chosen marriages we actually think will stand the test of time. They’re also special because all of them involve brides over 30 (and one in her 40s) who seem to have finally found perfect matches.
