Winter Wonderland Wedding Gowns

Fashion & Beauty » Wedding Dresses

As you read this, I will already be en route to Blue Mountain, Collingwood for a weekend away with friends, food and snowboarding (first time EVER!). This place has such a nostalgic meaning for me as it was one of the first fashion shoots I attended. Seems like yesterday that the Weddingbells crew was there–boy, how time flies. If there’s one thing that I vividly recall about this off-location shoot, well, in a nutshell, it was cold, cold, COLD. However, looking at all the photos justifies that it was all worth it in the end. For those of you seeking gorgeous Canadiana chic inspiration visit our Winter’s Tale feature which was in our Fall & Winter 2008 issue. Enjoy!

Flowers can really enhance the look of your celebration, so it’s important to consider what type of blooms you will use and how they will be arranged. You may already have a favourite flower that you’d like to incorporate. Colour is also an important consideration, as you likely have decided on a decorating scheme by now. Another thing to keep in mind is when certain flowers are in season: blossoms that aren’t available locally will have to be imported, and the cost may be prohibitive. Also, you may not know that flowers often have meanings attached to them. For instance, irises (pictured left) symbolize hope and passion. Want more insider info? Day 91: William & Kate Send Save-the-Date Faxes

royal wedding

Forget your traditional save-the-date cards, no Kate and William notified those guests who didn’t hear the big news via a fax! “I cannot give you any further details other than that but they have received a sort of save the date fax.,” People.com was told by a spokeswoman for King Constantine, and Queen Anne-Marie, of Greece. Other royal guests that are expected to attend include their eldest son Prince Pavlos and his American-born wife, Princess Marie-Chantal. Prince William is in fact the godfather to their 12-year-old son Konstantinos-Alexios. One royal confirmation? Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine of Serbia, who RSVP’d on their website writing, “Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to attend the marriage and are very happy for the young couple.”
