Wedding Do: Select Bridesmaid Dresses

Fashion & Beauty » Bridesmaid Dresses » planning

Try dressing your bridesmaids in different (but complementary) colours.

Once you have your wedding gown all picked out, it’s time to figure out what your girls are going to be wearing on the big day. You may have a certain style or colour in mind, but always remember to be considerate of your lovely ladies. Have an honest discussion with them to determine what price range is going to work, and be open to their feedback—they are going to be wearing these dresses after all. It is becoming more and more common to have stylishly mismatched bridal parties with each bridesmaid wearing a different colour or pattern or a different silhouette or neckline. This is a great way to accommodate each girl’s skin tone, body type, etc. The other good news is that there are tons of exciting things happening in bridesmaid fashion. This pretty pink gloss is perfect for a red carpet event…like your wedding day! If you want it, be prepared to wait a wee bit though. Since Angie famously waved that Chantecaille wand on Sunday night, Love is completely out of stock EVERYWHERE. According to the company’s website it will be back in March.

Why do I know one day I will see one of these pieces in someone’s house on Coronation Street?!

Dreaming of Summer

planning » Bouquets & Flowers

I feel like this snowy winter day calls for a floral eye candy blog post! Fest your eyes on this pretty wedding we designed last August, let the soft hues warm you. Each bridesmaid’s bouquet was a unique cluster of summer blooms, and the brides was a mix of all the girls bouquets together. Each of the guys bouts co-ordinated with the girls bouquets, which was soooo cute!! The centrepieces were large, organic, full of greens, and designed with seasonal Canadian garden flowers.
